Legacy Couples Project: 400+ Years of LGBTQ+ Love

In partnership with HistoryMiami Museum and Miami Design Preservation League/Art Deco Museum Miami Beach Pride's Legacy Couples Exhibit brought to life 400+ years of love through commissioned large-scale portraits intimately captured by portraitist Dale Stine, on-camera interviews, personal memorabilia and audio-recorded stories told to four queer youth from the YES Institute that brought to light a community’s story of struggle, perseverance, love and hope told through the stories of 14 same-sex couples.

Presented to the general public for free, the Legacy Couples Exhibit opened at the Art Deco Museum at the Miami Design Preservation League/Welcome Center located at 1001 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach 33139 on Friday, April 1, 2022 as part of the 14th edition of Miami Beach Pride Festival & Parade 2022 (April 1-10th) and continued through Sunday, May 1, 2022 before transferring to HistoryMiami Museum.
